Amazon Android tablet

Unnamed source had interesting conversation with New York post and New York Post reported that Amazon tablet is real and it is going to cost very low. The post reported that Amazon competitor in the tablet world will cost “hundreds less” than the iPad.
According to the source the device may be released in September or October in order to get established in the holiday season. This tablet will be an Android device and it will tie in with the already existent Android services like Cloud Player and Appstore. One can also expect strong Kindle support.
If the tablet ships even at $200 or $300, it will be considered a major blow to competitive tablet makers. Android OEMs will suffer most and they would have a much harder time making consumers buy a $500 with a $300 Amazon device around. Even Apple might have to feel some pressure.

My personal opinionWe do want to have cheap tablets, but there is very little space for most producers to cut. This Amazon tablet might be a headache for the Samsungs and HTCs of the world.
